Head under water and it never felt so good

Have you ever found yourself overwhelmed in something or someone, almost as if you're drowning in it?

Depending on who or what it is, you find yourself liking it or hating it. Strange how there's a fine line between love and hate, even when it comes to your emotions.

But for today, let's look at when you're overwhelmed with something you just can't get enough of, in a good way, of course. Something that puts a smile on your face and gives you the boost you need to get through the day.

It's a wonderful feeling, isn't it? Just losing yourself in it, as if you're in the deep side of the pool and just letting go under the water, free falling into nothing and waiting for the moment you need to catch your breath.

I'm sure most of you have experienced this. I'm sure you miss it as well if you don't have it anymore. Sometimes reality kicks in way too early, dragging you out of your dream and putting you back on dry land. But what happens when reality leaves you in that free state of mind? Well, then you know that feeling is something real, something will last forever.

When this feeling takes over, embrace it. Don't kick against it or take it away from someone else. Emotions and feelings never lie. Yes, you can lie to yourself and to others about them, but they don't ever tell a lie. Follow them, follow your gut instinct, listen to your heart and follow your dreams. You'll live a life you really want to, and not someone else's hopes and ambitions for you, but only your own.

Drown yourself in it!

  1. Awesome post.
I've too often thought that I don't know what makes me happy.
Tossed on the dry land of indifference,
    neither happy or unhappy.
I remember the feeling that you have put into a memorable metaphor.
This has given me something to draw on in my search for happiness,
an place to put a mental anchor.
Thank you for the lesson on how to tread water and drown.
