When it rains, it pours...

It's funny how it works, how the weather can influence everyone and everything. Have you noticed? If the weather is sunny and warm, everyone seems to be in a sunny mood, but the moment the rain comes, cars break down, people break down, smiles drop, frustration rises, accidents happen...

Only a few people love the rain, only a few people live for it. And if you're living in England, you don't have a choice really...

When it rains, your first thoughts lead you to the whisky bottle, or maybe even to your warm and cozy bed, point being that you don't want to get up, go to work and have a normal day. You want to do nothing, you want to stay at home, you want to make up an excuse to be lazy like a dog.

So, if you don't make up a good enough excuse and go to work in anycase, you'll be sitting in traffic much worse than the previous day, you'll probably drive past some accidents, people standing there will be yelling on each other, blaming each other, not giving an inch for anyone.

Make your day easier on yourself, relax, take it easy, put on your favorite music and don't let someone get you down on a rainy day.

Be the sunshine when it rains

Ties that bind

Have you ever felt that you want to break free and find your way out of a hole? I think it would be fair to say that we all have out own ties that bind us to something or someone, good or bad.

If it's an old lover or friend, the whisky bottle you hide cleverly underneath the clothes in your cupboard, or even your computer filled with all kinds of goodies, we all have it.

And most of the time we can't get enough of it! In many cases, this is a good thing, depending on what you're bound to. Otherwise, it's like a bad habit or a method of "escape".

Old habits die hard, but some of them live on forever. It's like a leash around your neck and you're the freak on it.

Still, we'll always rattle our cages and struggle to break free of them. For those who believe they are free, well done! I know I'm bound to things and people, it's a natural thing. Just make sure you're bound to the right things in life.

And the answer is no, I'm not a "You're a human through other humans" guy, that's the biggest load of rubbish you can ever believe. You're a human through your deeds and your actions. That's what sets us apart, not the way everyone talks about you or think of you.

Be yourself!!

Wild Weekend #4

It's Monday again, joy. Another wild weekend has come and gone...

This weekend involved a lot of staring down the whisky bottle and playing guitar from his side of the pond. Luckily we didn't have to order any home delivered meals thanks to mom taking care of that!

All and all, I'd say this was a good one, two gigs, some friends, mixed with some hair colour and it's all good!

For those of you who crawled home from a serious night at a local pub, be sure to get yourself some health insurance, it may come in handy once your liver starts rebelling against your social standards.

For the rest of you, there's a lot of better ways to enjoy an evening than to fill it with getting drunk and puke punching the floor. So, maybe it's time to find a new way to live if you woke up next to Shrek or his sister;)

Keep it real!
